Manifest destiny had many parts to it one being that the European settlers who were inhabiting america and wanted to spread democracy and build cities upon cities to further grow their culture. these European settlers, farmers and workers, and towns people thought that what they were doing was a mission from god and that they were doing good for the world so naturally they thought very high of themselves and thought low of others such as the native Americans. the native Americans were seen as savages and unholy beings that inhabited the great many acres of potential communities. the settlers treated the Indians terribly from destroying entire villages killing Indians and "protecting themselves from the savages" when really all the native Americans were doing was living their lives and protecting what was rightfully theirs. the settlers american citizens saw these native Americans as people who had no right to own land and the citizens took what ever they wanted without asking and continued their god given mission to spread america as a whole. this contributed to the destruction of native american life because it included the trail of tears which was a mass movement of Indians across america basically kicking them out of their home. many of the natives died along the way more than half didn't make it but they kept pushing them farther and farther away from the potential land for the Americans. but this is what they did, the Americans took what they wanted and didn't ask questions.
