The Articles of Confederation is the very first thing government wise we had after fighting Great Britain. It was  good considering it was our first and it worked just fine. Nothing needed to change with it a stronger state government means that the states and central government all have equal power. This balances everything out so that no one has to much power. One thing the Articles of Confederation is the separated land in the northwest. These squares contained smaller and smaller squares which they sell. Every square had a school on it which made it a lot easier for people to get a public education. Another reason that the states need power is due to the fact that it is much easier to hear what the people want.


When that states had more power in the Articles of Confederation it left for a weak central government. This government a tough time trying to make laws, raise taxes, create an army, and etc. Without all this the states were basically separate counties and the newly founded country was sure to fall. If the central government cannot place taxes then there is no way they can raise money for anything including an army. This is why the founding father changed our government and made three branches the Judicial, Legislative, and Executive. With these three branches created a checks and balance system where no on had to much power. It also made the central government stronger to where they could tax, create laws, and support and army.
