The Shaping of The New World

We have learned these things to help see what shaped our nation in becoming what it is now. The Europeans had decided to explore what is now North America, which is what they thought was going to be Asia, to get new ideas on how to make their country better. The Europeans were actually in search for gold but when they discovered this new nation they became curious. This curiosity lead to them wanting to search the land and see what was there. They thought this new world was very interesting and wanted to take part in the kind of lives these people lived. When they arrived, however, the Europeans had brought over deadly diseases that the Indians were not used to, so their population began to decrease. The Europeans soon realized that they wanted to stay in the new world and explore more so they got funded a trip by the King and Queen. This has shaped America because it lead to the discovery of new life for the Europeans other than just in their county and surrounding areas. This also helped the Europeans gain money because trade soon became a new thing for everyone to do. Europe was the chief source of all trade. The most important thing about this weeks topic was that discovering America was a huge challenge that the Europeans faced, but it lead to a new beginning for all of these groups of people that they thought that they could never get. The world would not have been the same if the Europeans had not discovered America and this is what made America become a new nation.
